This steakhouse made it to the top of my list of favourite steakhouses ever.
I always aim to try out a steakhouse anywhere I travel, as I might be in for a pleasant surprise. Miller and Carter was this pleasant surprise for me during my trip to Leeds.
Leeds isn’t particularly known for its steaks, and finding a decent steakhouse was difficult as it was to start. So I was fairly reluctant in visiting a steakhouse, especially with a relatively expensive menu, as I didn’t know what to expect of the quality of the food.
I ordered my standard order: a filet mignon, cooked to a medium temperature. I’m normally okay with meat cooked slightly above the request temperature too, as long as it’s not dry. For me, asking for a steak cooked medium is a safe bet, especially when I’m not sure of the quality of the food being served.
The food arrived and it was clear that this restaurant knew what they were doing. It was presented well, with the steak sauce kept to the side. One bite of that filet mignon and I knew that it was one of the best steaks that I had ever eaten. It was moist, tender, and just bursting with delicious flavour. Just writing about it makes my mouth water, because the steak was that good.
I have been to many, many steakhouses, all over the world. But Miler & Carter restaurant has made it to my top three steakhouses.
As a side note, Miller & Carter also offer a lunch menu at a very affordable price. While the main courses on there might not be as high end as a filet mignon, you’re bound to find something there that suits your taste.
Overall, this steakhouse just blasted its way through to one of my favourite steakhouses of all time. I highly recommend you visit.
