Pachino is a small pizzeria in San Francisco that was near my hotel during our visit to San Francisco, so we decided to visit.
During our visit to San Francisco, we were looking for a pizza place nearby. We were able to find this one using Google. We weren’t quite sure how good the food was, but since the restaurant had positive reviews, we decided to go and check it out.
Upon arriving at the restaurant, we noticed it was quite a small outlet. There were about two too many tables for the amount of space available in the restaurant, but as it wasn’t rush-hour, it wasn’t too bad.
It was also clear that the waiter did not speak a lot of English. He greeted us politely, offered us the menu and pointed out the specials. However he was not able to address some questions and concerns we had.
I ordered a Margherita pizza, as did my friend. We received an 8-slice 12-inch pizza that was just delicious. The tomato sauce was to die for. I’ve tasted many pizzas in my time, but this one takes the prize. The pizza was hand-made as well, a classic Italian treat.
There isn’t much to say about the restaurant. It is a very simple, family-owned restaurant that gives you and idea of what real Italian pizza is like. The staff there are very nice, friendly and polite. There might be a small problem with the language barrier, but the food is worth visiting for.
