YouTube Spotlight: Vlogbrothers

I think that this is the only video blog (vlog) that I actually follow. It’s a bit of a hit-and-miss at times, but there is some interesting content on Vlogbrothers.

This channel is run by Hank and John Green, who are fairly famous YouTubers that host a number of educational YouTube channels, many which I have featured on my blog here, such as Mental Floss and SciShow. The channel mostly acts as a video blog, where each of the brothers post a video about once a week.

Some of the content on Vlogbrothers is not that good. However, once in a while, someone posts an absolutely fantastic video. These two individuals are intelligent, open-minded and interested in the world around them. They are thinkers and watching their vlogs provides some interesting insight into how they see the world – something that interests me greatly.

This channel might not be for everyone. I can say with certainty that I do not like all the videos on this channel. But once in a while, they upload a little gem of a video that reminds me why I subscribed to this channel in the first place. A video that keeps me thinking for the rest of the week. Those videos truly make subscribing worthwhile. I’ll list some of them out below. This is, by no means, a comprehensive list, but it should give you a taste of some of the better content:

If you liked any of the above videos, it’s worth subscribing to the channel. They occasionally post interesting content like that. Videos come out twice a week, one for each brother. It won’t clog up your subscriptions box, and you might find some fairly interesting videos on there too.
